Greg Messerle - President 

Greg's primary role as Co-Founder and President of Gotham Direct is to oversee the Agency's growth through the successful execution of client campaigns. Additionally, Greg oversees the agency's new business initiatives, which includes forging strategic partnerships with PR agencies, creative shops and other complimentary service firms.

Prior to creating Gotham Direct in 2002 with his partner, Greg was VP, Marketing for Visual Radio, the private equity fund. At Visual Radio, he developed the marketing and advertising strategies for the various portfolio companies. He was also responsible for evangelizing to marketers outside the portfolio on how to integrate traditional media into their on-line advertising campaigns.

Before joining Visual Radio, Greg had earned an MBA in Marketing Management and worked at two media companies in New York City, Meredith Corporation and American Media. While at Meredith, he assisted marketers in developing customized programs that integrated Meredith's print, television, custom publishing and Internet assets. Greg first began his career in media as an advertising account manager for various magazines such as Better Homes and Gardens, Ladies' Home Journal and others.

In 2006 Gotham Direct was ranked #30 among the PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Entrepreneur magazine list of "100 Fastest Growing Companies in the US". In 2007 Gotham Direct was ranked #26 by Inc. Magazine in the annual listing of America's Fastest Growing Private Companies, The Inc. 500. Gotham Direct went on to appear on the list again in 2008 and 2009.  Greg lives in Westchester County, New York with his wife and three daughters...yes, three daughters. 

Chris Gilbertie - Partner

Chris is Co-Founder of the Gotham Direct Group. Chris' primary responsibility is ensuring client campaign success through strategic planning architecture and rigorous performance analytics. In addition, Chris has been instrumental in developing proprietary tracking mechanisms for client campaigns that have led to greater campaign visibility and enhanced ROI performance. The success of Chris' strategies and methodologies is reflected in the explosive growth her company has experienced, most recently being named #26 on the Inc. 500 list.

Prior to co-founding Gotham Direct, Chris led Strategy, Marketing and Business Development functions as a senior executive with Meredith Corporation, Ziff Davis, Tax Cut software, Ally & Gargano and Marketing Corporation of America.

Chris holds a B.S. in Marketing, magna cum laude, from Providence College and currently serves as an in-field advisor to their School of Business.

Shattuck Groome - Partner

Shattuck Groome is a seasoned executive with years of hands-on experience building and leading small, large and fast growing organizations, from fortune 500 packaged goods firms to premier dot-coms.

Before joining Gotham Direct, Shattuck held senior positions in traditional and new media companies. Most recently, Shattuck oversaw the marketing and business development activities at eDiets.com, the premier diet/health destination site on the internet. Major responsibilities included partnerships with publishers, website portals, celebrities, and several fortune 500 companies, as well as media planning, buying and advertising.

Shattuck's internet and online marketing experience ranges from traditional branding to targeted direct response and online behavioral targeting.

Shattuck has designed programs in display advertising, SEM, SEO, affiliates, and database marketing. His background is in top consumer brand companies, including Rexal Sundown, Nestle, Anheuser Busch, and RJR, where he managed the strategic marketing, advertising, and product management of various multi-billion dollar brands.
